Come learn the basics and get prepared for our 2022 tryouts.  

No prior experience is necessary to participate in camp and tryouts. The majority of players entering high school have not played field hockey before. The purpose of the summer camp is to teach the sport to athletes interested in trying out for the fall program. 2022 Camp July 18 - 29, 2022

Players interested in attending MUST register online beforehand and turn in all mandatory documents and submit payment.   Registration form will be emailed to current students on our previous rosters and those who signed up on our interest list at incoming freshman night.  If you have not received the registration form by July 5th please email edisonfieldhockey@gmail.com

After registering online and submitting payment, players must bring the following documents to the first day of camp:

• Current physical
• Emergency Card
• $160 Camp Payment if not already submitted

2022 Athletic physicals will be given at Edison High School campus on June 4th from 10am - 2pm.  

Mandatory equipment (must bring everyday to camp):

• Shin guards (soccer ones are fine)
• Mouth guard (can be purchased at any sporting good store)
• Appropriate athletic shoes for the turf (soccer cleats, running shoes, turf shoes)
• Your own water

**Sticks and balls will be provided by the program: Sticks may be rented from the Coach to be taken home by players for a deposit check of $150 made out to “Edison Field Hockey Boosters.

COVID Guideline Information:

Tryouts typically take place the week following summer camp.  If more time is needed to determine placement, we may extend tryouts an additional week.  All cuts and rosters will be posted on our website.

We will be having a Parent Materials Pick Up sometime after try-outs are completed in front of the school near the office.  Please plan to stop by to receive your season informational materials, as well as your car sticker and player socks.  We will also be collecting the following:

TBD Season Donation Check payable to Edison Field Hockey. Registration covers coaches, league dues, umpires, insurance, socks, uniform/equipment purchases and maintenance, Banquet Book, awards, and general program costs. 

$150 Uniform Deposit Check payable to Edison Field Hockey. This will not be cashed unless items are lost or damaged.

$450 Goalkeeper Equipment Kit Deposit Check payable to Edison Field Hockey

This will not be cashed unless items are lost or damaged beyond normal wear and tear sustained during play; this is a *separate* deposit from the uniform deposit detailed above.

We use Shutterfly for team, individual, and senior beach photos.  We also need game photos for this year's banquet yearbook.  Parents and players please look for an emailed invitation soon.
